Accounts Receivable Accountant at Kforce Inc in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Boston, MA that is seeking an Accounts Receivable Accountant.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable Accountant will review and perform accounts receivable revenue billing and collection including invoice entry, verification, reconciliation, and processing


• Oversee timely and accurate invoicing to customers


• Ensure timely collection of payments


• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies or customer queries, handle customer correspondence via phone or email


• Assist in the month end AR close process including reconciliations and intercompany allocations in the accounting system including journal entries


• As an AR Accountant, you will monitor aging balances and take part/lead bi-weekly accounts receivable meetings with senior management


• Gather support per yearend audit request list


• Oversee and process daily ACH pulls from customers


• Assist with special projects within the accounting/finance group as required including various analytical procedures and preparation of ad-hoc reports

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-3 years of accounting, accounts receivable, billing and revenue collection experience


• Knowledge of general accounting principles


• Superior analytical/quantitative skills with a strong aptitude to understand the business and its operations


• Attention to detail and accuracy a must


• QuickBooks experience a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
