Weekend Clean-up Crew at Columbia Forest Group in Old Fort, North Carolina

Job Description:

Hours will hours will typically be Friday night, Sunday days, and at least 2 days during the week.


Starting Pay: $23.04 with $1.50 shift differential


QUALIFICATIONS:


• High school diploma or GED.


• Entry level maintenance work required.


• Powered Industrial Forklift course or licenses.


• Position requires the ability to plan and perform unusual and difficult work and make decisions involving the use of considerable ingenuity.


• Position requires regular work with average weight materials and occasional work with heavy weight materials.


• Position must concentrate on mental and visual attention while closely planning and laying out complete work.


SAFETY:


• Steam genie and hot water is always used. Care should be taken.


• Clean-up crews are exposed to a lot of moving gears, belts, drives, etc. Hands or other body parts cannot be placed near moving equipment unless the machine is shut off, the power shut off at the power disconnect, the power disconnect tagged, locked out, and padlocked by each person involved.


• Clean-up crews must wear hearing protection and eye protection and oxygen meter for press pits.


• Clean-up crews must wear proper gloves for the task at hand.


• Operates powered industrial forklift in a safe manner paying attention to surroundings.


• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.


QUALITY:


• Position must make sure that there is no trash left in the spreaders.


• Ability to help track rejects.


• Position must make sure all glue lines are properly cleaned to help with the possibility of delams.
