Job Description:

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and review the general ledger regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles and procedures.
  • Prepare and analyze financial and statistical reports as required.
  • Coordinate and prepare for financial audits conducted by external auditors.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and coordinate the completion of various required reports.
  • Prepare and/or review required tax returns.
  • Recommend changes in financial policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Monitor and enforce internal controls to ensure proper compliance.
  • Assist with planning and implementing changes in the accounting system.
  • Manage and develop the accounting team, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.

  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's degree preferred)
    • 5+ years of exempt-level experience in a manufacturing environment
    • CPA certification preferred
    • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Knowledge:
    • Advanced understanding of accounting and auditing principles and practices
    • Comprehensive knowledge of governmental financial administration, including budgeting, reporting, taxation, and revenue
    • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements
    Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
    • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    Abilities:
    • Examine and verify financial documents and reports with high attention to detail
    • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of management
    • Prepare a variety of complex financial statements, reports, and analyses
    • Supervise, train, and evaluate clerical and technical employees
    • Adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrate leadership and decision-making capabilities

    • Full-time position
    • May require occasional overtime during peak periods (e.g., month-end, year-end closings)

    MIN: $118k to $124k
