Job Title:Post Doctoral ScholarDepartment:Medicine | Otolaryngology

Postdoctoral research associate to pursue specialized research training and experience under the guidance of a scientific mentor in a research laboratory within the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University; conducts NIH-funded research on investigating neural encoding and processing of electrical stimulation at both the peripheral and the central levels of the auditory system in adult and pediatric cochlear implant (CI) users under the guidance of a faculty mentor. The postdoctoral research associate will help with software development, data collection, analysis of results, and manuscript and grant application preparation. With further experience, the postdoctoral trainee may also contribute to the design of follow-up studies.





Minimum Education Required


Doctorate (Professional) or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in biomedical engineering




Required Qualifications


PhD in biomedical engineering, hearing science or related field is required. Strong skills in computer programming preferred. Experience in cochlear implantation, auditory electrophysiology, computational modeling is desired. This position requires successful completion of a background check. Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
