Provides administrative support in proposal preparation and contract and grant administration, including pre-award proposal initiatives, post-award management and closeout activities. Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders, partners, and customers. Applies industry knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principals, and technical capabilities to manage the Food Entrepreneurship Training and Support Programs. Designs, implements, and manages testing/special services projects for food entrepreneurs. Works with entrepreneurs through the entire business process, including developing a business plan, product development, solving technical issues, developing legal labels for their products, optimizing packaging, finding ingredient suppliers, scale-up, small scale production and identifying co-packers. Provide administrative support to faculty across units to organize outreach/extension short courses and workshops for food entrepreneurs. Assists in course development, promotion, preparation, and implementation. Coordinates with FST and partners to develop the best training experiences for the food industry. Participates in other relevant activities, as directed by the Department Chair, to advance the department's programs and initiatives. Participates on complex projects of large scope and serves as in informal resource for less experienced colleagues.
Additional Information:Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred. 4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
