Position Summary
The medical laboratory technician-processor (MLT-Processor) is responsible for covering the duties and responsibilities of the Central Processing area and/or Microbiology processing area within the department of Clinical Laboratories. The MLT-Processor performs specimen processing, manual computer test order entry, verification of laboratory test requisition entry, and customer service related duties. The MLT-Processor also participates in quality control, continuous quality improvement activities, inventory control, professional development and continuing education within the area.
Minimum Qualifications
For Hire: High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be required.
On going: Meets mandatory hospital education and health surveillance requirements. Demonstrates competence annually in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions .
