The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Instructor position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of gynecologic oncology. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Ob/Gyn and trained as a subspecialist and be board certified/eligible in Gynecologic Oncology.
Responsibilities may include conducting clinical or policy research in women's gynecologic cancers. This person will work with our physician scientists at the Ovarian Cancer Research Center and in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology. Additional training will be provided in clinical health services and policy research related to this field. Individuals with an interest in a mentored research experience may be considered for a Women's Reproductive Health Research (WRHR) career development award or a Reproductive Scientist Development Scholar award.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to participate in clinical responsibilities at the Jordon Center for Gynecologic Cancers and the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz Veteran's Administration Medical Center.
