Job Description Summary
The Center for Clinical and Translational Research, University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine (PDM) seeks a Research Program Manager whose primarily role is to manage the overall portfolio of grants and clinical research projects/publications/presentatoins, maintain financial/research databases for efficient information management and reporting and coordinate HR tasks as related to staff recruitment, hiring, onboarding and maintenance of employee records.
This position coordinates research administrative activities in support of Center for Clinical and Translational Research, University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine (PDM) and other key stakeholders.
Coordinates HR tasks such as staff recruitment, onboarding and maintaining employee training records, specifically regarding mandatory clinic practice and research-related initiatives.
Provide support to pre and post award administrative process working closely with PDM grants management office (GMO). Tasks include, but not limited to: communicating and serving as point of contact with collaborators, review accuracy with letters of recommendation, reviewing bios for consistency, organizing lists and documentation and reviewing overall grant submission for completeness, entering data in the system if needed.
Within clinical research activities ongoing at the center, he/she may help supervising research activities such as subject enrollment, data collection, quality control, storage and management. Supports the overall portfolio of grants and clinical research projects, maintains financial/research databases for efficient information management and reporting.
Participates in research team meetings, coordinate meetings and calls with sponsors and stakeholders and participates in reporting and dissemination activities related to research operations, regulatory matters and overall relationship with clients, investigators, students and broad research community and collaborators.
Provides administrative oversight in coordinating reporting and dissemination activities related to research findings; including, but not limited to: developing a library of compiled research documentation; reviewing journal requirements submitting manuscripts to journal; drafting social media posts and ads from protocols and research papers for publication and dissemination. Assists with manuscript preparation and dissemination of results.
May also coordinate special research projects and meetings as needed. The overall research duties may include participating in study activation activities, resource management, support with recruitment of research participants, telephone screening for study eligibility, communicating with PIs, study coordinators and study team on research activity matters, coordinate group meetings, and coordinating and conducting community outreach activities. Reviewing research databases and reports ensuring data completeness, maintaining research files, data collection and data entry.
