Indiana Tech is seeking Adjunct Faculty in our Fort Wayne area and online platform. The successful candidate will teach online and/ or in-person classes at our Fort Wayne campus, primarily in the undergraduate and certificate programs. Types of courses to be taught include Construction Documents, Construction Estimating, Construction Operations, Construction Scheduling, and / or Construction Contracts.







Essential Duties & Responsibilities



  • Teach one or more courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi.

  • Conduct a one hour live lecture (Tech Live) each week of the course.

  • Grade all assignments for the course (Canvas).

  • Report final grades for all students (J1 Web).

  • If required, collect assessment data for the course.

  • Provide a supportive and engaging learning environment for a diverse student population.

  • Support efforts to increase access and success in higher education for underrepresented. students.

  • Support the mission, vision, and strategic plan of Indiana Institute of Technology.

  • Ability to adjust to changing needs and processes while anticipating challenges, identifying problems, and developing solutions






Measures of Accomplishment


Course goals and objectives are set by the dean and are defined in the teaching contract.






Qualifications & Experience



  • Master's degree required; Doctorate preferred.

  • Previous teaching experience (both face-to-face and in the online environment) at the graduate level preferred.

  • Strong technological aptitude with knowledge of Canvas and Microsoft Office preferred.

  • Strong history of relational approach in the classroom.

  • Five years or more industry experience preferred.






Working Conditions


Work is normally performed in a classroom environment.
