Job Description:

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an RMA Technician to join a client Fremont. The role is with an electronics manufacturing company. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Must be able to pass ITAR Requirements. This can be a temp-to-hire role based on performance.


Job Duties:


  • Evaluate and determine the root cause of failure for RMA chassis.

  • Estimate the labor and materials required for the scope of repair or upgrade of RMA chassis.

  • Identify electromechanical components, install them and test the chassis for functionality.

  • Perform mechanical repair, troubleshoot wiring and test RMA units.

  • Communicate effectively, recommend and generate DDR changes on document where applicable to actual wiring and mechanical build of chassis.

  • Perform self-inspection according to Manufacturing Checklist.

Requirements:


  • Normally receives very minimal instructions in performing electro-mechanical repair/or upgrading standard to semi-complex RMA chassis, but may require technical guidance from engineering for RMA chassis with high complexity in nature.

  • Ability to work on assignments ranging from standard to high complexity in nature.

  • Requires judgment in solving problems and ability to suggest changes and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Must be able to provide verbal or written comprehensive report of evaluated/analyzed RMA chassis.

  • Performs mechanical assembly and electrical wiring independently with no supervision required.

  • Familiar with the use of various electronic components (i.e. multi meter, crimping tools, soldering iron, etc.) and mechanical hand tool (i.e. power screw/nut driver, hand drill, caliper, etc.).

  • Good math skills.

  • Must have good oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to read and/or work from both mechanical and wiring diagrams and written instructions.

  • Ability to trouble shoot problems in electrical circuitry and some basic exposure to electronic circuits.

  • Must be able to understand and configure electro-mechanical component requirements through AWO instructions and B.O.M.

  • Conversant with use of basic formulas to calculate electrical circuit parameters.

  • Must be able to lift/carry a minimum weight of 50 pounds.

  • Good manual dexterity required.

  • Ability to read and interpret CPCI and VME specs is an added advantage.

  • AA/Technical Certification, Diploma in Electronics or equivalent.

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
