Essential Duties:
This position manages foreign national and multi state tax. Reviews tax status for both payroll and accounts payable payments, sets up state taxes in PeopleSoft, and is responsible for yearend reporting.
Performs analysis of tax status of foreign national individuals being paid through payroll and accounts payable.
Collects required legal documentation for payments to foreign nationals and set up/manage multi state employees.
Review Payroll, Bursar, Accounts Payable and Pcard transactions for withholding requirements.
Creates invoices and payment documentation for tax payments for payroll and accounts payable. Prepares cost transfers for clearing payroll funds for these payments.
Prepares OUHSC 1042 documents annually.
Provides assistance to departments across campus for tax determination and documentation requirements.

Education: Bachelor's degree.
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.Skills:
Knowledge of Accounting principles, practices, methods, and terminology
Computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases
Ability to choose the right mathematical method or formula to solve a problem.
Ability to collect and organize accounting data, interpret the significance, and prepare accurate financial reports.
Ability to solve accounting and related financial problems.
Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to handle stressful situations.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills.
Preferences:
Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Application of general math skills and algebra
Experience in multi-state payroll tax
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus
