The Trade Analytics & Optimization Manager is the subject matter expert on optimal trade strategy for their respective categories. He/She will work cross functionally with the Business Units and Retail sales teams. He/She will work with the cross functional teams to optimize the week-by week customer level plan to deliver the optimal to drive incremental profitable growth. He/She will lead the analysis of trade promotion executions to uncover opportunities for improved ROI and influences tangible improvements for a given Business Unit and key Customers. He She develops analyses and insights regarding the incrementality and profitability of trade promotion. They develop scenarios and specific recommendations to optimize trade promotions. He/She influences key stakeholders and strategy development based on the recommendations to optimize trade.
Responsibilities:
Drive promotional and pricing efficiencies through analyzing current promotional and pricing strategies to generate insights to drive profitable growth.
Develops and educates on trade that take in consideration the company's business objectives brand equity financial requirements.
Works closely with pricing sales and marketing teams to implement trade and pricing strategies.
Lead the development of recommendations to maximize trade performance and ROI as well as minimize and manage risk of revenue loss of trade promotions.
Develop and implement processes and procedures on analytical trade promotional projects to ensure consistency.
Lead reviews or studies and present those findings to drive changes in promotional guidelines and customer plans.
Experience: 5 plus years in CPG work experience in marketing/sales analytics, Pricing Revenue Management, Category Management, or Sales Finance.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel Outlook Word PowerPoint. Advanced experience with Power BI is a plus. Proficient in Syndicated Data - IRI, NIQ, etc. Experience with Luminate and 84.51 is a plus.
Communication Skills: Self-started with ability to work both independently and collaborate with others to build consensus across teams. Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Strong Business acumen. Natural inquisitiveness, strong desire to explore data mining and looking for data driven insights to drive business decisions. Ability to communicate recommendations on initiatives and influence leaders through data analytics and thoughtful interpretation of findings. Proven ability in understanding how to fuse 3rd party and internal data and understands the importance of accurate account data. Proficient problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities. Proven ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while working independently and in teams. Skilled in effective leadership strategic influencing communication interpersonal and teamwork skills. Proficient financial acumen.
Supervisory: No direct reports.
Travel: minimal (2 to 4 trips a year)
