Clouds Talent Group is thrilled to be partnering with Wellby Financial to find a top performing personal finance advisor to support their continued growth efforts.

The Personal Financial Advisor will provide financial advice to clients based on knowledge of investment and tax strategies, securities, insurance, pension plans, and real estate. The Wellby Financial Advisor will focus on building long-term relationships with our members to help them achieve their financial dreams and live life uninterrupted. We're on a mission to help improve our members lives through a consultative and holistic financial planning approach driven by the goals and objectives of each individual member/client.

Responsibilities

  • Experience with high quality service standards in all interactions with members, personal and all departments within the Credit Union
  • Educate members and credit union employees on investment products and services through seminars, branch trainings and other scheduled events.
  • Meets with clients to gather, discuss, and understand personal financial information such as current income, expenses, insurance coverage, tax status, financial goals, risk tolerance, and other information necessary for financial planning.
  • Assesses clients' financial objectives, assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance coverage, and tax status.
  • Based on analysis of financial data, develops strategies, and plans to help clients meet financial goals.
  • Effectively communicate information about the risks, attributes, features and benefits of investment products and services.
  • Monitors plan performance for clients; realigns and redistributes funds to maintain objectives.
  • Develop and execute a systematic approach to verbal and written client communication (min 7 contacts per year).
  • Provide regular feedback to the branch employees, credit union executives and sales manager regarding sales practices and business development initiatives.
  • Drive investment and credit union integration initiatives, e.g., Retail Experience training, seminars, Retail team focus days, etc.
  • Refer and Cross sell Credit Union products and services the member has an immediate need for at this moment in time.
  • Maintains knowledge of new and emerging investment trends and opportunities.
  • Builds additional skills and knowledge in the industry including obtaining additional licenses and certifications as appropriate.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)
  • Knowledge of Wellby's organizational functions and general operating policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of secretarial practices and procedures, business English, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Knowledge of personal computer, utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and other software's.
  • Knowledge of financial markets and investment strategies.
  • Knowledge of a wide array of brokerage/banking products and services
  • Skilled in operating computer equipment and general office machines such as personal computers, copiers, projection equipment, audio/video, Microsoft Teams, Zoom Video Communications, and adding machines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to efficiently understand and follow oral and written instructions, perform routine duties without close supervision, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with other team members.
  • Ability to coordinate several concurrent activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.

Complexity & Scope of Work
  • The team member will ensure policies, procedures, and programs are consistently administered, aligned with organizational goals, and compliant with professional standards.
  • The team member performs routine and generally related tasks without supervisory direction.
  • Tasks may occasionally have to be coordinated, integrated, and/or prioritized.
  • Courses of action are determined by established procedures and/or the Director of Program Manager
  • The team member's work is reviewed periodically for accuracy, completion, and compliance with the policies and procedures.
  • The team member uses independent judgment in making decisions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of Financial Advisor experience required.
  • Licensed to sell financial products (Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, (or Series 66), Texas state Group 1 insurance license, etc.) required.
  • Professional industry designations are preferred including CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, etc.
  • Proficient in fee-based Investment Advisory accounts including wrap accounts, SMA's, professionally managed solutions, mutual funds, ETF's, UIT's and structured investment products preferred.
  • Fixed and Variable Annuities, Life Insurance, and Long-Term Care Insurance sales experience preferred.
  • Small Business Retirement plans including 401k's, Individual 401K's, SEP's, and SIMPLE IRA's preferred.
  • Bondable
