Education & Experience: A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in Reliability & Maintenance. Experience in the steel industry is preferred, with experience specifically in steel finishing processes as a strong advantage. Experience as a People Leader role is an additional benefit to qualifications.
Responsibilities, Skills & Knowledge: The candidate should have a proven track record of leading and managing the mechanical functions in a Steel Process Industry or an equivalent Heavy Industry. Specific job functions are as follows. CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) knowledge is required. SAP experienced preferred.
Provide leadership, expertise, and direction in the implementation of Maintenance and Reliability strategies for mechanical functions across the manufacturing facility. Mechanical functions include hydraulic and pneumatic, power transfer mechanism such as couplings and gear boxes, furnaces, lubrication systems, bearings, welding equipment and piping.
Use technical knowledge, equipment documentation, and safety procedures to develop and implement methods and procedures to eliminate maintenance problems and improve product quality.
