We are looking for an experienced Portfolio manager / Program Manager to lead and manage the governance and end-to-end delivery of commission transformation data modernization project. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in program governance, agile methodologies, and preferably come from a wealth management or financial services background.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Governance & Delivery:
Lead the governance of large-scale data modernization projects from initiation to delivery.
Oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring timely and successful delivery across all workstreams.
Manage cross-functional teams, aligning efforts across development, data engineering, and business units to meet project goals.
Ensure program governance processes are followed, monitoring key performance indicators, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
Senior Management Reporting & Communication:
Create and present comprehensive program updates, including progress reports, risks, challenges, and delivery timelines, to senior management.
Develop insightful presentations that effectively communicate program status and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Ensure transparency on project progress and support informed decision-making by senior stakeholders.
Data Modernization & Integration:
Drive the data modernization strategy, ensuring the successful integration of modernized data infrastructures with an exposure to integrating it with downstream applications.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless and scalable data processing systems that align with business objectives.
Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices in data modernization to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
Promote agile best practices and ensure Scrum framework adherence across teams.
Continuously refine and optimize agile processes for better project outcomes and team efficiency.
Risk Management & Issue Resolution:
Identify potential risks and challenges early, proactively developing mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity.
Resolve escalations and remove roadblocks that may impact delivery timelines or project quality.
Maintain a strong focus on quality and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Foster strong collaboration between project teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure the success of data-driven initiatives.
Act as the primary point of contact for all program-related matters, ensuring stakeholder alignment across various departments and teams.
Process Improvement & Efficiency:
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within the program management framework to increase efficiency and drive results.
Explore opportunities for automation, streamlining reporting, and improving overall program governance.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Program Manager leading complex, large-scale projects.
Strong experience in program governance and end-to-end delivery management.
Extensive knowledge of project management tools and methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Jira.
Proven track record of leading data modernization projects, including managing the integration of data with front-end applications.
Expertise in data governance, architecture, and building scalable data infrastructures.
Preferably from a wealth management or financial services background, with an understanding of the unique challenges and business processes in the sector
Familiarity with advisor commission structures and registration processes is a significant plus.
Excellent communication skills, particularly in preparing and delivering presentations to senior management
Ability to provide strategic updates on program status, risks, and challenges to leadership teams.
Strong knowledge and practical experience in Scrum and agile methodologies, with the ability to coach teams and ensure adherence to best practices.
Skilled in facilitating Scrum ceremonies and managing agile transformation projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in wealth management or financial institutions.
Knowledge of advisor commissions and registration processes.
Familiarity with automation tools and process optimization for improving governance and delivery efficiency.
