As a Senior UX Designer and Researcher at StickerGiant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how our products work and are perceived by both internal and external customers. Taking a holistic approach to product design, you will consider every aspect of the user journey, ensuring effective, intuitive solutions that drive business success. You'll lead discovery efforts to deeply understand customer problems, craft meaningful solutions, and seamlessly integrate product changes that users can navigate without retraining.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end design process, from user research to high-fidelity design and prototyping. Your work will focus on creating cohesive, user-friendly experiences that elevate StickerGiant's product offerings and drive continuous business growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Holistic Product Design:
  • Own the end-to-end design of StickerGiant's digital products, ensuring they are functional, intuitive, and aligned with business goals
  • Apply a comprehensive approach that includes service design, interaction design, and visual design to deliver cohesive and seamless user experiences
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment and consistency across all customer touchpoints

Discovery and Problem-Solving:
  • Lead discovery efforts to deeply understand user needs through user interviews, surveys, and stakeholder meetings
  • Translate insights into actionable solutions that address customer pain points and improve the overall product experience
  • Develop prototypes to test, evaluate, and refine ideas, ensuring they meet both business objectives and user needs

User Research:
  • Conduct and lead qualitative and quantitative user research (usability testing, user interviews, etc.) to gain insights into user behavior and preferences
  • Synthesize research findings into user personas, journey maps, and UX reports that inform product and design decisions
  • Utilize tools such as Hotjar, Crazy Egg, or FullStory for behavior analysis and insights

Data-Driven Design:
  • Leverage UX metrics and analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel) to drive design decisions, optimize for conversion rates, and measure the impact of design changes
  • Work with the team to build a data-driven culture around product development, using insights to inform and prioritize design changes

Prototyping and Iteration:
  • Develop interactive prototypes and wireframes using tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD to simulate end-to-end user experiences
  • Lead iterative design cycles to continually refine and optimize solutions through testing and feedback

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and communicate design rationale clearly to stakeholders at various levels
  • Facilitate design thinking workshops to align product design goals with broader business outcomes

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
  • 5+ years of experience in UX design and research, with a proven track record in eCommerce or consumer-facing digital products
  • Expertise in interaction design, visual design, and service design, with the ability to seamlessly integrate these into cohesive product experiences
  • Experience in developing design systems for consistency across platforms
  • Proficiency in prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, and UX research tools like Hotjar or Crazy Egg
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices for creating inclusive designs
  • Strong understanding of mobile-first and responsive design principles
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with engineers and product managers
  • Demonstrated ability to lead product discovery efforts and translate research insights into actionable design solutions.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce) and conversion rate optimization (CRO)
  • Knowledge of A/B testing platforms, web analytics tools, and user behavior analysis
  • Familiarity with UX writing and microcopy principles to improve user communication

  • Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, product managers, and marketing teams
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with UX trends, tools, and industry best practices

POSITION SCHEDULE DETAILS:
  • Full-time, exempt role
  • Hybrid work environment
  • Generally, Monday - Friday (40 hours/week) 8am - 4pm MST
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours based on business needs
  • Compensation Range: $TBD
