Our client is a mid-size fintech company located in Houston area.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain financial models, with a focus on risk modeling and loan modeling.
Work in a Python environment, leveraging standard data science packages.
Process and analyze large amounts of data using Snowflake and SQL.
Replace legacy models with new, more efficient models.
Collaborate with the team to build infrastructure for model retraining.
Potentially use visualization tools like Power BI or Looker for data presentation.
Occasionally present findings and models to leadership.
Qualifications:
3 years of experience building financial models, preferably in a banking or fintech setting.
Knowledge of material data and experience with linear and non-linear models.
Experience working with regulated data.
Familiarity with data processing in Snowflake and SQL.
Proficiency in Python, with previous experience in R being a plus.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
