Position Overview The Traveling Superintendent will oversee commercial construction projects across various locations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role demands strong leadership skills and the ability to coordinate with subcontractors and manage resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors on-site for project execution
Manage project schedules to ensure timely completion
Oversee budget management and expense reporting
Conduct progress reporting to stakeholders
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations
Maintain quality control throughout the construction process
Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members
Manage punch list items to ensure project completion
Utilize construction management software for tracking and reporting
Provide training on safety procedures and first aid as needed
Coordinate travel arrangements and manage per diem allowances
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders through various channels
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
Strong skills in project management and scheduling
Experience in budget management and expense tracking
Knowledge of safety management practices and building codes
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Bluebeam
Ability to operate a forklift and other construction equipment
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
First Aid CPR certification and OSHA training required
Experience with travel coordination and car allowance management
*MUST be located in either Nebraska, Illinois or Colorado and will travel within these 3 states!*
