Job Title: Contract to hire - Embedded Software Engineer (IoT Platform)

You will be joining a global leader at the forefront of innovation, who are dedicated to revolutionizing the way devices connect and communicate. You will be working on high optimized battery power devices within a very exciting side of the business that is pushing the boundaries with development.

Location: Remote working with 1 day per week onsite in Atlanta.

Scope: This role is a contract to hire position, initial 6-12 months as a contractor on W2 or C2C with the scope to become an internal employee directly with the business.

Role Overview: As a Contract Embedded Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing our IoT platform. You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining embedded software solutions that power their devices. This is a unique opportunity to work with advanced technologies and collaborate with a team of experts dedicated to pushing the boundaries of IoT.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain embedded software in C for IoT devices.
  • Implement Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocols and functionalities.
  • Work with Zephyr RTOS to ensure efficient and reliable operation of our platform.
  • Utilize Nordic nRF series microcontrollers for development and testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues, ensuring optimal performance and stability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to continuously improve our products.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in Embedded C programming.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
  • Proficiency with Zephyr RTOS.
  • Hands-on experience with Nordic nRF series microcontrollers.
  • Solid understanding of embedded systems and real-time operating systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and also independently.
