Our client is a large employer located in York, South Carolina and are looking for a senior support specialist on a 6 month contract-to-hire (C2H) basis. The job is fully onsite.
Your responsibilities will include:
Process Optimization: Identifies the most effective and efficient methods to complete tasks, prioritizing continuous improvement and streamlining workflows.
Access Management: Controls access to services by applying appropriate processes and tools, ensuring the granting of rights to authorized users while denying access to unauthorized individuals, in alignment with policies.
IT Operational Support: Conducts the ongoing procedures and activities necessary to manage and maintain IT services, ensuring they meet agreed-upon service levels.
Knowledge Management: Makes relevant insights, ideas, experiences, and information available at the right time and place, using proper tools and processes to support informed decision-making.
Problem Management: Manages the lifecycle of all problems through the application of processes and tools, proactively preventing the recurrence of incidents to reduce their impact on the organization.
Request Fulfillment: Oversees the entire lifecycle of a service request with professionalism and efficiency, utilizing the necessary processes and tools to ensure customer satisfaction.
Service Asset and Configuration Management: Manages service assets and configuration items by maintaining accurate, documented records that support other service management processes.
Service Level Management: Ensures the quality of delivered services meets agreed-upon levels, using required processes and tools to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.
System Change Management: Oversees the lifecycle of all system changes, employing processes and tools that enable beneficial changes with minimal disruption to IT services.
Troubleshooting: Diagnoses and resolves customer issues by adhering to departmental standards, ensuring customer expectations are met.
You will need:
A strong background in Active Directory administration and support.
Experience in Cisco technologies with CCNA or CCNP certification, or equivalent relevant work experience is preferred.
A solid foundation in enterprise-level IT support and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience in VMWare virtualization technologies is preferred.
A working knowledge of cloud platforms and services is strongly preferred, with experience in platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
