Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Accounting Manager to join our team for Street, Road & Highway Construction. The ideal candidate acts as the financial steward of the company, overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reports, compliance with legal regulations, and the implementation of effective financial strategies and controls. The role will cover a broad range of financial functions including cash management, preparation and review of profit and loss statements, balance sheet reconciliations, financial job reviews, and more

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and implementation.
  • Coordinate and supervise construction activities on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise promptly.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and budgets.
  • Oversee all aspects of construction projects throughout implementation and execution of the plan and schedule.
  • Manage all necessary resources to complete the project.
  • Successfully interface with customers, contractors, project inspectors, and field personnel.
  • Ensure project safety and efficiency.
  • Provide training to both experienced operators and newly hired laborers.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role for 10+ years
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment
  • Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore, Prolog, Bluebeam, or Primavera
  • Must be familiar with all Microsoft office programs and bidding software.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety protocols
  • We are seeking an individual with 10+ years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Must have excellent leadership skills, be a strong communicator, and have a "take ownership" attitude.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 80% of your time.
  • Experience with construction management software such as PROCORE, and Bluebeam a plus

Experience:
  • Construction Superintendent: 5+ years Preferred in Roadway, Highway or Heavy Civil
  • General Roadway, Highway or Heavy Civil for 8+ years
  • Work Location: In person.

Requirements:
  • Essential to have 10 years+ of experience in the construction industry.
  • Engineering or construction management background preferred.
  • Crucial to have excellent leadership skills, be a strong communicator, and have a "take ownership" attitude.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 80% of your time.
  • Must be familiar with all Microsoft office programs and bidding software.
  • Must hold valid Driver's License
