Under moderate supervision, this role supports the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the organization's goals and strategies. The Continuous Improvement Manager will collaborate with department leads and individual teams to assess current performance, identify improvement opportunities, and help implement strategies for better efficiency. This position acts as a partner in change management, supporting operational excellence while maintaining a strong focus on process improvements, customer satisfaction, and quality performance.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Support Continuous Improvement Efforts: Assist in driving Continuous Improvement goals by facilitating CI projects that support local and regional objectives.
Collaborate with Department Leaders: Work with department managers and teams to identify process inefficiencies and help implement strategies for improvement.
CI Program Development: Assist in developing and delivering CI training sessions for employees across various functional areas.
Project Coordination: Coordinate and track the progress of CI initiatives across departments, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Best Practices Sharing: Gather and share insights from CI projects across other business units and within the local team.
Team Development: Provide mentorship and training to junior CI team members, assisting them in the development of key CI skills.
Data-Driven Solutions: Utilize basic statistical tools and financial analysis to drive problem-solving and continuous improvement solutions.
Collaboration with CI Leadership: Collaborate with regional CI Managers and Leaders to ensure consistent application of CI tools and methodologies.
Learning and Development Support: Assist in facilitating learning activities related to ongoing CI programs and projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: BS/BA required.
Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma roles.
Certifications: Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred. Lean Facilitator certification preferred or must be obtained within 18 months.
Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills are essential. Experience leading smaller cross-functional CI projects is required.
Preferred: Familiarity with CI methodologies in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Previous experience supporting business units with <$500M revenue is preferred.
