We are looking for an Executive Director (VP Corporate Learning & Organizational Development) executive who will lead the corporate L&D department of more than 50 learning and development professionals with multi-million dollar budgets. As the corporate L&D executive, this leader will oversee the design and implementation of learning and training based on the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma business strategy for a diverse set of business verticals which includes hospitality, casino operations, food & beverage, retail, health, housing, education, agriculture and more. Each of these diverse internal businesses have subject matter experts who train their Associates in their perspective areas of focus. This executive will work with existing business area stakeholders to provide a consistent L&D strategy that shares common competencies, succession planning and mentoring programs that are consistent and unify the diverse businesses into one cohesive tribe.
The mission will be to:
Develop and implement a strategic learning and development plan that supports the organization's overall business and cultural objectives.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align learning initiatives with the tribe's vision and goals.
Create a diverse range of learning programs, including onboarding, leadership development, and soft skills development in support of long-term and short-term strategies.
Utilize modern learning strategies and technologies in learning and development to design engaging and effective programs.
Oversee the design and delivery of training programs through various channels, including instructor-led training, e-learning, webinars, and workshops. Ensure that learning experiences are tailored to meet the needs of different employee groups and levels.
Implement robust assessment and evaluation processes to measure the impact and effectiveness of learning programs including volume, reaction, learning, behavior, results, and ROI. Use data and feedback to continuously improve and adapt learning initiatives.
Develop and manage the learning and development budget, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
Foster a culture of leadership development by identifying high-potential employees and creating programs to nurture their growth.
Lead and mentor a team of learning and development professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
Graduate degree in Learning and Development, HR, Organizational Development or related field.
Minimum of 5 years leading L&D for an organization of 10,000 or more employees, we need enterprise level experience
Proven track record of designing and implementing successful learning programs.
Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methodologies.
Familiarity with enterprise level e-learning platforms, learning management systems, and modern learning technologies.
