Chitra is seeking a Navy 3M LOEP Manager in Portsmouth, VA. This position will provide administrative support to the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) Project processing feedback reports, updating and distributing LOEPs, assisting in Force Revision distribution, updating contractor information in PMSMIS, and other functions related to the PMS program.
Because this position can lead to future assignment as an Equipment Specialist an understanding of the shipboard PMS system and experience in one of the Technical or Mechanical Ratings is strongly preferred.
The Navy Rate skill sets that are best suited for this position:
ET, FC, FTG, STG, ST, CTM, MT, MM, GSE, or EN. Other Rates may apply as well but must involve weapon/combat system or HME systems maintenance.
Typical Fit for Duties Performed while on Active Duty: Department 3M Assistant, 3MC, Leading Petty Officer, Work Center Supervisor.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and update List of Effective Pages for US Navy Fleet and various shore activities.
Establish Contractors in the NAVSEALOGCEN PMSMIS database.
Track expiration dates for all Contractor Activities.
Send notification of upcoming contract expiration dates.
Assist in the distribution of Force Revision to US Navy Fleet and Shore Activities.
Tracks Force Revision packages sent via FedEx.
To be best suited for position growth, having some (or all) of these skills is beneficial.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical manuals.
Practical knowledge of engineering and scientific principles.
Knowledge of the Navy procurement systems and regulations as it relates to correctly defining the necessary ordering information and part and equipment. Knowledge of safety and mission requirements, technical issues, economic factors and long-term effects of your decisions.
Knowledge of the responsibilities and relationships among and between the various commands and activities involved in PMS, and the limits of the involvement of each.
Technical writing ability in order to provide instructions to fleet commands and maintenance personnel on the access/application of configuration and logistics information.
Ability to analyze logistics support requirements of all equipment and systems installed based on applicable supportability, reliability, and maintainability logistics engineering information.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
U.S. Citizen
An Active Secret Security Clearance
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in shipboard repair
3M Work Center Supervisor Qualified (3MC ideal)
Completion of a Navy "A" school in one of the preferred Rates in this position description
