Position Overview The Audit Manager will oversee and manage audit engagements, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations. This role is crucial for providing assurance services to government and non-profit organizations, and will involve leading audit teams, planning and executing audits, and delivering high-quality reports to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing guidance on technical matters and professional development.
Prepare and review audit reports, ensuring they are clear, concise, and meet client expectations.
Manage client relationships, providing exceptional service and maintaining open communication throughout the audit process.
Identify areas for improving efficiency and effectiveness within audit processes and implement necessary changes.
Stay updated on changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting audits.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or equivalent professional certification is required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in audit or assurance services, preferably with a focus on government and non-profit sectors.
Strong knowledge of audit standards and regulations.
Proficient in audit management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
