Job Overview: Our client seeking an experienced GCP Architect to design, implement, and manage its cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of GCP services, cloud security, compliance in banking, and experience working in highly regulated environments. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of GCP into the bank's ecosystem and delivering scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Architecture Design & Implementation:
Design and develop scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions using GCP for various banking applications.
Architect cloud infrastructure that aligns with business requirements, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
Lead cloud migration projects, including assessment, strategy formulation, and hands-on implementation.
Cloud Strategy & Roadmap:
Develop the cloud strategy, including cost optimization, security, and scalability.
Drive the adoption of cloud-native services such as Kubernetes (GKE), BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and other GCP offerings.
Define and implement governance policies to ensure efficient cloud management.
Security & Compliance:
Ensure cloud infrastructure meets all regulatory and compliance requirements (PCI-DSS, SOC2, GDPR, etc.) for financial institutions.
Collaborate with security teams to define and implement cloud security protocols, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and vulnerability management.
DevOps & Automation:
Lead the integration of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform, and automated deployments on GCP.
Optimize cloud operations and monitoring, implementing tools like Stackdriver, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner with business units, application teams, and other technology stakeholders to understand their cloud requirements and provide scalable GCP solutions.
Work closely with the IT security and compliance teams to address any risks and ensure the highest security standards.
Mentorship & Best Practices:
Guide and mentor engineering teams in GCP services, tools, and cloud-native architecture.
Document best practices for cloud infrastructure, application design, and ensure adherence across teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience:
8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 3+ years focused on GCP.
Previous experience in financial services, banking, or similar highly regulated environments is strongly preferred.
Expertise in designing and implementing cloud security best practices, including IAM, data encryption, and regulatory compliance.
Proven experience in cloud migration and modernization of legacy applications to GCP.
Technical Skills:
Deep understanding of GCP services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes (GKE), BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, and more.
Experience with microservices architecture, container orchestration, and serverless computing.
Strong proficiency in DevOps tools, including Jenkins, Terraform, and GitOps.
Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, SOC2, and GDPR.
Strong expertise in networking, security, monitoring, and cost management in the cloud.
Preferred Certifications:
Google Professional Cloud Architect
Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
Other cloud or security certifications (AWS, Azure, CISSP) are a plus
