We are seeking a talented Flight Dynamics Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will ensure that various space situational awareness (SSA) products generated by the TraCSS system meet operational quality standards prior to deployment. A strong foundation in the mathematical principles of astrodynamics and SSA concepts is essential, including orbit determination, covariance realism, maneuver planning, and conjunction assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop operational user scenarios and test cases for product validation and operational acceptance testing.
Collaborate with the TraCSS System Integrator to evaluate, test, and onboard third-party SSA data products and services.
Coordinate with DoD personnel, satellite operators, and other mission stakeholders to support the SSA mission.
Be willing to work rotating shifts as necessary.
Qualifications:
US Citizenship required.
Active Secret security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of orbit determination concepts and algorithms.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in SSA and flight dynamics.
Prior experience in satellite operations is preferred.
Familiarity with cloud computing technologies.
Understanding of software development and testing lifecycle.
