The Continuous Improvement Manager will be key to improving The Company's efficient workflow and other aspects of the business. These efforts will help the company achieve its financial objectives and improve customer satisfaction and preference for our products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To lead strategic cross-functional continuous improvement (CI) projects across the company.
The first project is planned for the M2K system CI project for manufacturing, materials, and inventory management. Below are examples of expectations for this project.
In-Plant Work Order Processing: Drive real-time work order receipts and material backflushing. This will be accomplished by establishing a routing and planner code framework that allows for real-time reporting by fabricators and assemblers.
Labor Tracking: Set up the capability for fabricators or assemblers to clock in and out of specific operations.
Utilization of pick lists to identify specific pick locations.
Maximize use of MRP function within M2K to ensure all materials are on-hand when needed potentially including demand planning reports and inventory analysis reporting, etc.
Work with the ERP Administrator in order to develop best practices and procedures for M2K module implementations For example: M2K Forecasting Module Implementation
Examples of potential future projects may include:
Manufacturing scheduling implementation
Credit Level Approval, Hold Process (soft hold and hard hold), Lien Process for example Neumic/Crown Lifts Building.
Warranty cost reduction projects.
Change After Approval process improvement (Redesign)
Customer Support Department enhancements
As a result of action items from project work:
Coordinates with department leaders and process owners to develop, refine, and implement procedures, specifications, and standards.
Develops training for and trains employees in practices, processes and requirements and provides technical assistance as needed.
Works in partnership with department leaders and process owners to develop cross-functional solutions to address/resolve issues identified during CI projects.
Develops audits/controls and routinely monitors the CI project(s) results and updates.
Develop methods to retrieve and analyze systems data
Develop adequate systems to support business needs to include reports and dashboards, etc.
Attends Issue Resolutions Team meetings and other departmental and cross-functional meetings

Qualifications
Requires education equivalent to an associate degree in operations, materials management, quality, continuous improvement, or related discipline
Requires at least 2-5 years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced, team environment for a manufacturing business
Requires the ability to lead cross-functional teams and to influence and persuade people at all levels of the company.
Requires the ability to learn and be proficient with the continuous improvement processes and the problems solving methodologies that The Company uses.
Requires proficiency in ERP systems and the development of a working knowledge of Epicor M2K.
Requires the ability to learn and understand the product line, the interactions between product components, and the metal fabrication and assembly processes.
Requires the ability to examine processes and develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Requires the ability to create materials to teach and train processes and procedures and conduct training sessions for individuals and groups.
Requires the development of proficiency in reading mechanical drawings
Requires excellent analytical skills to track and analyze data and develop solutions
Familiarity with PowerBI is a plus (or willingness to learn).
