Provides leadership in mechanical systems on project management and estimating processes, methodology, and tools that span multiple business units
Comprehension of the desired technical knowledge items at a level that allows mentoring and training of company staff.
Participates in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
Ability to develop conceptual plans for use in estimating or client presentation.
Able to present conceptual and detailed plans to clients explaining equipment selection, system operation, and maintenance requirements.
Support our Marketing and Sales Teams in client identification and pursuit of new mechanical installation opportunities.
Evaluates data and metrics to propose new strategies to improve project delivery and develop reports that portray and give external stakeholders visibility into the project landscape
Attends pre-bid meetings, conducts site inspections, coordinates the RFI process and collaborates with field managers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate data collection for competitive bid generation
Establishes and nurtures relationships with industry professionals, suppliers, prime contractors, subcontractors, public agencies and internal customers
Prepares estimates and written proposals for clients based on labor, materials, equipment and other expenses
Reviews RFP's/Design Docs and prepares RFI's as needed.
Creates the project scope of work and any Bill of Materials (BOM) for the estimate and submits for pricing.
Attends estimate review meetings with the Leadership Team.
Coordinates with suppliers and vendors to ensure our construction teams have the materials they need
Communicates with field supervision and operations leadership about delays and any other issues that must be communicated to clients
Codes and approves invoices
Maintains an elevated level of professionalism with clients, vendors and colleagues; works to establish a positive working relationship
Provides timely and completed documentation of work performed
Operates vehicles and other equipment safely; adheres to safety protocols; reports hazards and risks; behavior contributes to a safe and secure working environment
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Applied Science Architecture, or equivalent work experience
