Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to support their engineering and construction teams in the successful execution of pharmaceutical construction projects.
This role is designed for recent graduates or individuals with internship experience. The ideal candidate is a degreed engineer with a passion for construction, strong problem-solving abilities, and a keen interest in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the project team in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities for pharmaceutical projects.
Support the Project Engineer in managing day-to-day project tasks, ensuring that projects remain on track, within scope, and meet regulatory compliance.
Participate in the review and interpretation of project drawings, specifications, and contracts, providing input on design feasibility and construction plans.
Assist in maintaining project documentation, including RFI (Request for Information) logs, submittals, and change orders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients, to ensure smooth project execution.
Help track project progress, prepare status reports, and identify potential risks or issues that may impact timelines or budget.
Conduct field inspections to ensure that construction activities comply with project plans and pharmaceutical industry standards.
Support quality control processes to ensure compliance with FDA regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and other pharmaceutical industry guidelines.
Assist with procurement efforts, coordinating materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for project completion.
Gain hands-on experience in project management, cost estimating, scheduling, and other key areas critical to construction project success.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
0-2 years of relevant experience (internship experience in construction or pharmaceutical environments preferred).
Knowledge of construction practices, project management principles, and pharmaceutical facility requirements is a plus.
Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Project).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and grow within the role, with the goal of transitioning into a Project Engineer position.
