The Director of Technical Product Management leads the product team for a domain or multiple domains within the Technology organization. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing the product strategy across multiple product areas in the Supply Chain Domain, ensuring they align with the overall business goals of the organization. The Director of Technical Product Management plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between technology and business, leading a high-performing product team, and driving the successful launch and adoption of innovative products that enhance the customer experience. Additionally, they are key to establishing a best-in-class product process, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Leadership and Team Management:
Mentor and coach the team by developing individual team members' skills, provide career guidance and empower them to make decisions
Manage performance by setting goals and providing continuous feedback for the team to learn and grow
Foster a collaborative environment and strong culture by bringing the team together and ensuring open communication across the team and stakeholders
Work one on one with each team member to help them learn, grow, and become better at Product Management and develop a world class Product team
Strategy & Planning:
Lead the team through modernization efforts
Define the long-term roadmap for multiple product lines, developing a strategic roadmap with input from the team and help the team to prioritize features using a standard framework
Identify opportunities for technology to enable business by gaining a deep understanding of the business areas you support
Ensure alignment between your product areas roadmap to the overall business objectives
Manage stakeholders by collaborating and communicating the product vision, roadmap, and progress to key stakeholders
Execution & Collaboration:
Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure a smooth product execution
Gather feedback across teams to identify what is going well and what could be improved
Track key performance metrics (KPIs) across the area and analyze the product data to find areas for improvement
Technical Expertise & Learning:
Stay up to date on the latest technical trends and innovations related to your product domain and product management
Maintain a strong understanding of the technical aspects of your product area to make informed decisions
Help the team work through and troubleshoot any challenges that arise
Continuously up your skillset in the product area and consistently coach the team to up their skillsets as well
