Tax Manager Job Description Position Overview: The Tax Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of tax compliance and planning for the organization. This role requires in-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the organization's tax liabilities
Review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws
Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate potential impacts to the organization
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of tax information
Manage relationships with external tax advisors and government agencies
Supervise and mentor tax team members, providing guidance and training as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, preferably in a corporate setting
In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including S-Corp, C-Corp, Partnership, and Individual tax returns
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to analyze financial data and identify potential tax issues or opportunities
Experience with tax planning and strategy development
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office suite
Nice to have: experience with international tax compliance and knowledge of tax implications for mergers and acquisitions
