Our team is currently looking for a Contracts Analyst to support expanding operations into Cote d'Ivoire.
The Cote d'Ivoire Supply Chain Contracts Analyst serves as an internal resource and external contact for management and administration of Cote d'Ivoire contracts. This position provides Contracts Advice and Support to upstream divisions and projects in support of the most critical contractual and commercial domestic, offshore, and international drilling, production, major construction projects and related support services in West Africa.
This opportunity will offer exposure and involvement with Indirect Spend areas such as Information Technology (IT), Human Resources (HR), Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE), Finance, Geological & Geophysical (G&G) as part of teamwork and career training. With guidance from the members of the Global Contracts team, you will proactively support the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team members and technical teams, with duties related to contract strategy, contract negotiations, contract interpretation, contract performance, and other matters related to overall contract support.
This is a hybrid opportunity with the ability to work (2) days remote.
Responsibilities
Efficiently respond to SCM and internal client requests
Conduct contract analysis and raise concerns / opportunities with Global Contracts team, internal clients and/or SCM personnel
Support SCM team on contracting strategies, including Request for Information/Proposals/Bids (RFx events), bid evaluations, supplier / contract negotiations, and post-award contract management for the operations in Cote d'Ivoire
Proactively engage internal clients to understand and align contracts to programs & plans
Support and address appropriate aspects of the assigned contracts portfolio, ensuring alignment with internal client's requirements, such as annual renewals, contract renegotiations, service level agreements and post-award contract management plans
Support negotiations of contractual and commercial terms and conditions, including contract amendments and change orders
Understand, adhere and promote compliance with Corporate Supply Chain policy
Contributes to building effective solutions based on available information
Together with the other members of the Global Contracts team, develop, implement, and maintain an appropriate suite of contract documents to ensure contractual consistency with emphasis in West Africa, and develop annual business objectives for the Global Contracts team
Monitor compliance with approved documents, contracts management procedures and recommend corrective actions as required
Supports contract management with suppliers in conjunction with broader SCM team
Demonstrates and develops understanding of negotiation dynamics and consistently utilizes successful negotiating and influencing behaviors during the performance of the job
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, law, or another related field
Minimum 3 years' experience in supply chain and contracts
Knowledge or Interest in Contract Management and Supply Chain Management in Oil and Gas industry
Familiarity with ERP Systems (i.e. Ariba, SAP, etc.) and complete Microsoft Office 365 suite
Competency level based on years of experience in contracting, negotiation and risk management
Working proficiency of the French language is strongly preferred.
All candidates must be local to the Houston, TX area and possess valid US Work Authorization.
