About the Role
The IT Business Analyst develops "power user" expertise in enterprise systems, develops permissions structures and workflows to support business processes, provides thoughtful, data-supported recommendations on optimizations and alignments between business and technical implementations, and assists in identifying, implementing, and documenting new systems. This role requires an ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users, and a curiosity to learn about systems and processes across the enterprise.
What You Will Do
Analyzes, optimizes, and documents existing workflow processes.
Identifies and proposes potential system integrations and business process improvement opportunities.
Identifies and recommends modern software solutions to replace legacy business processes or software.
Gathers requirements for application implementation and participate in vendor review processes.
Acts as administrative backup/support for departmental systems and workflows, including, but not limited to, HRIS, CRM, and IT Automation systems.
Assists or manages implementation of new systems, including process development, and documentation.
Oversees the use of technical tools and platforms, often in collaboration with IT and other operational teams, to make processes more efficient.
Makes recommendations to solve business problems before, and as, they arise.
Manages change control processes, both internally and with third-party vendors, to support IT operations.
Reviews day-to-day organizational system health and operations, developing methodologies for auditing for accuracy and proper functioning.
Supports organizational initiatives by serving as a subject matter expert on related systems and processes.
Understands and communicate software benefits, communication impacts, and associate work process changes.
Keeps up to date on industry trends & facilitates discussions around new opportunities as appropriate.
What We Look For
Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
3+ years of application management, project management, or process analytics experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills that can be used across all levels of the organization.
Able to use Microsoft tools including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
Able to build strong working relationships and work in a collaborative manner across all levels of the organization.
Able to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Able to lead, problem solve, and manage projects. (Organize, planning and time management).
Superior professionalism, discretion, and judgment, maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality.
Able to provide ongoing support to Chicago facilities on a remote basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with RPA, document management systems, ticketing systems, and workflow management.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Platform, Power BI).
