Job Description:
Geotechnical Field Technician W2 Contract-to-Hire Salary Range: $47,800 - $52,000 per year
Location: Sunnyvale, CA - Onsite Role
Duties and Responsibilities:
Technicians will perform site observations of earthwork, utility backfill, drainage improvements, excavations, and foundation construction.
Technicians will collect samples and perform tests to monitor compliance with construction specifications.
Soil and asphalt testing
Daily tasks include traveling to job sites using company vehicles and interacting with Project Engineers and Job Captains.
Complete technical reports
Coordinate with dispatch, providing constant communication when onsite.
Coordinate with construction workers onsite.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
Experience with fieldwork in an academic setting is highly preferred.
A Nuclear Gauge Density Certification (https://www.apnga.com/) is mandatory and must be obtained before the first day on the job.
Steel-toe boots are mandatory.
A valid driver's license and clean driving history are mandatory; you must be able to provide a driver history report to be considered.
Able to walk outdoors all day; able to lift 50 lbs for extensive periods
Able to work overtime; 50+ hours weekly.
