Job description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Controller to manage our US operations. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Chartered Accountancy (CA) or Certified Public Accountancy (CPA) and will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of our US operations. This role will will work closely with the US business leader to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities:
  • Oversee all financial activities for the US operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Manage a team comprising Business Finance, Finance Controllers, and the billing team based in India.
  • Collaborate with the US business leader to develop and implement financial strategies that support business objectives.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the CFO and senior management team.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, including cash management, treasury operations, and working capital optimization.
  • Conduct financial risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts, including variance analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and audits.
  • Support the CFO in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and other high level financial activities.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is essential.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Experience in managing remote teams, particularly in a global context.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including ERP systems.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
