About the Role
The Operations Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing datasets to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making within the organization. This role involves interpreting data, developing reports, and collaborating with the Operations Department to improve business outcomes. The Operations Data Analyst reports to the Business Analytics Manager.
Responsibilities
PROVIDE DATA ANALYSIS AND DASHBOARDS • Gather and analyze large sets of structured and unstructured data from various sources. • Ensure data quality by cleaning and preparing datasets for analysis. • Create comprehensive reports and visualizations to present findings to stakeholders. • Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data. • Develop predictive models to forecast future trends and outcomes. • Work closely with cross-functional teams, inside and outside Operations to understand their data needs and provide insights. • Utilize data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Python, Google Data Studio, and Excel. • Ensure compliance with data governance and data privacy policies. • Understand issues / requests in a detailed level to identify root causes and propose solutions. • Create new and improved existing KPIs to ensure Operations departments is meeting goals. • Assess and identify new KPIs to ensure the Operations Departments is working in support of the larger Company goals. • Identify errors in a detailed level and use them as learning opportunities to enhanced operations. • Maintain a customer service mindset both internally and externally and develop the service practices required to meet the high expectations of the Company.
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT • Assess existing practices and actively seek opportunities for best practices process improvement. • Proactively identify bottlenecks and areas of opportunity and continually implement solutions for both daily and strategic challenges. • Work across the Company to develop best-in-class practices that support best-in-class results. • Identify strategic opportunities for adding efficiency and cost-effective customer support and process solutions. • Continually asking "why" to improve processes and procedures.
Qualifications • 2-5 years of experience in data analysis or a related field. • SQL 1 year experience • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. • Bilingual ability with proficiency in Spanish and or Portuguese is highly desired.
Required Skills • Results orientation to drive productivity and implement efficiencies. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • Experience with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling. • Familiarity with big data technologies. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data findings clearly and concisely. • High attention to detail and accuracy in work. • Experience in the consumer finance industry is a plus.
