Cross Section Lab Technician (Electronic Components) for Global Device Company
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Cross-Sectioning Electronic Technician to support material testing and metal development projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in cross-sectioning, sample preparation, cutting, polishing, and imaging using advanced microscopy techniques. This role is crucial for both research and development as well as material testing efforts, requiring the ability to work independently and report findings to lab engineers and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare cross-sectional samples with accuracy and consistency, including cutting, potting, and polishing.
Operate and maintain cross-sectioning equipment and advanced microscopy tools for imaging and analysis.
Perform material testing, capturing images, measuring thickness, and reporting on material properties.
Document and report findings clearly, collaborating with lab engineers and other team members to ensure project goals are met.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
2+ years of recent and direct experience in cross-sectioning, polishing, and material testing.
Experience in using cross-sectioning equipment and microscopes for imaging and analysis.
Must have cross section experience with PCBs, Flex Boards, Circuit Boards, or similar electronic components.
Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently with no additional training required for cross-sectioning and polishing tasks.
Knowledge of materials characterization techniques and industry standards.
