Position Overview: We are seeking Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to join our cloud operations team with at least 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS services, cloud architecture, automation, and troubleshooting within a complex production environment. As a senior engineer, you will design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable cloud solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance our infrastructure and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
AWS Cloud Implementation:
deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructures using AWS services such as VPC, EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, MSK, and more.
Deploy solutions that ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery capabilities.
Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using tools like AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.
Automate cloud infrastructure deployment and management to minimize manual intervention and improve reliability.
DevOps and CI/CD Pipeline Management:
Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bitbucket, Jenkins/Bamboo, and Nexus/SRM/Blackduck to streamline application deployment processes.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate DevOps best practices into workflows, ensuring seamless and efficient application rollouts.
Containerization:
Manage and support containerized applications using AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) and ECS.
Optimize the orchestration and deployment of microservices within containerized environments.
Security and Compliance:
Implement security best practices across cloud environments, including network security (security groups), encryption (KMS), and IAM policies.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as PCI and HIPPA.
Monitoring, Performance, and Optimization:
Understanding on leveraging different monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, OpsRamp, and Scalyr.
Proactively monitor system performance and implement optimizations to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Troubleshooting and Incident Response:
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and application issues.
Provide root cause analysis for cloud infrastructure failures and work on continuous improvements to avoid future incidents.
Cloud Cost Management and Optimization:
Understanding on cloud spend, recommending areas for cost reduction and performance improvement.
Ensure efficient use of cloud resources by leveraging AWS cost management tools and best practices.
On-Call Support:
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide support for production environments and ensure high availability of services.
Required Skills and Experience:
Jr to Sr AWS Experience:
Expert-level experience across a broad range of AWS services, including but not limited to VPC, EC2, IAM, Lambda, EKS, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, MSK, Route53, CloudFront, and KMS.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Hands-on experience designing and deploying infrastructure using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other IaC tools.
DevOps Expertise:
Fair understanding of DevOps principles and extensive experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, Bitbucket) for automating software delivery.
Containerization and Orchestration:
Strong expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and managing containerized workloads in AWS EKS or ECS.
Security and Governance:
Experience with cloud security best practices, including IAM, network security, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
Monitoring and Logging Tools:
Exposure with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, OpsRamp, or Scalyr to ensure optimal system performance or Similar monitoring tools.
Linux Systems Administration:
Basic experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting in cloud environments.
Scripting and Automation:
Hands on experience in scripting languages such as Python or shell scripting for automating routine tasks and improving operational efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are preferred.
Experience with blue-green deployments, canary releases, and other deployment strategies.
Familiarity with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and API Gateway.

Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
Ability to lead technical discussions and guide decision-making processes.
