Position Summary: In this role, you'll be at the forefront of strategic development and execution within the Commodity Team. Reporting directly to the Global Commodity Manager for Electromechanics, you will lead supplier, commodity, and budget strategies across regional and global objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead annual price negotiations with suppliers to meet or exceed budget savings and PPV targets.
Ensure optimal global pricing across the supply market for all products.
Develop a comprehensive Regional & Global Commodity Purchasing Strategy (3-5 years), aligned with business and PBU strategies.
Implement global commodity strategies across all responsible regions.
Collaborate with Supplier Quality teams to monitor and resolve supplier PPM issues.
Drive cost reductions through VAVE initiatives.
Oversee supplier management, from onboarding to phase-out, maintaining market intelligence, identifying risks, and ensuring transparency.
Bring positivity, high energy, and a winning attitude to the team.
Utilize advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
Manage spending for wire harnesses, switches, and low-voltage electronics to keep the organization technologically competitive.
Develop and maintain a cost breakdown model for electronics and mechanics commodities.
Requirements:
Experience: 3-5 years as a Commodity Buyer, with 2-3 years within the automotive industry in a global commodity role.
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
Skills: Strong negotiation skills, advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
