Responsibilities
Collaborate with peers to translate business requirements into technical design specifications and develop code for Control Center applications as needed.
Ensure the continuous availability of the OSI PI Historian for pipeline operations, facilities, tank farm management, and product deliveries.
Support the AVEVA OSI PI Data Historian infrastructure for pipeline operations and control centers.
Install and configure PI OPC interfaces with failover and manage the PI buffer subsystem (upgrading and designing).
Administer PI Vision Servers, PI-AF SDK/PI Web API, PI Datalink, and develop and support PI Vision pages and compliance activities.
Hands-on work with PI Data Historian configuration, coding, and testing, including creation/modification of PI tags, PI AF Element templates, and AF Elements.
Develop dashboards using PI Vision, PI AF Analytics, PI Notifications, and PI Event Frames. Manage PI interfaces, such as OPC DA/UA, RDBMS, and PI to PI.
Lead the technical aspects of assigned projects, including planning and resolving application issues.
Contribute to software development in PI Visualization Suite, PI Integrator for Google Cloud, PI Integrator for Esri ArcGIS, Spotfire, and PI AF System Explorer.
Solve complex software problems and system compatibility issues.
Perform system installation, configuration, performance testing, and tuning.
Create system models, visualizations, dashboards, equations, and reports.
Provide input for technical documentation, including user manuals and training materials.
Act as a customer interface to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Basic Programming Skills in Python
5+ years of experience as an AVEVA PI Developer, including developing PI system applications, data modeling, and architecture.
Ability to respond to system alerts 24/7 to maintain application availability.
Extensive experience with AVEVA OSIsoft PI Historian (PI-RTQP, PI SQL, PI OLEDB, PI Datalink) and programming languages such as C#, .Net, Visual Studio, SSIS, SQL, and API/Adapter calls.
Hands-on experience with OSIsoft PI System modules in a production environment.
Involvement in at least two full life-cycle implementations of OSIsoft PI System modules.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Sciences.
4+ years of experience in the energy sector.
AVEVA certification in developing applications with PI AFSDK, PI Web API, PI Datalink, and PI SQL.
AVEVA certification in PI system administration (basics).
