Maintain professional and technical payroll tax knowledge by attending educational workshops, researching professional publications at the federal, state and local level.
Qualifications
Minimum of three years multi-state, multi-jurisdiction and high-volume Payroll Tax experience and
minimum of one years of recent Senior, Lead or Supervisor experience required.
PEO or related industry experience preferred. Hands-on tax return processing experience is required.
Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll, federal, state and local wage laws required.
MasterTax and Prism/HRP experience preferred.
Possessing a comprehensive knowledge of federal, multi-state and local tax regulations along with the ability to analyze complex regulatory tax notices.
Ability to interpret and analyze complex data, and ensuring that payroll taxes are processed timely
and accurately.
Must be results-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.
This position requires exceptionally strong analytical skills, as well as attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively and possess strong service skills.
A thorough knowledge and understanding of payroll tax and the regulatory environment, which includes federal, multi-state, and local tax regulations as well as the ability to read, understand, and analyze highly complex regulatory payroll tax information.
Interpret and analyze complex data, make determinations free from immediate direction, and ensure that payroll taxes are appropriately processed.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and adapt to fast-paced environment.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Education & Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience with multi-state payroll tax processing
Mastertax and HR Pyramid experience preferred
A minimum of two years multi-state payroll tax, tax return preparation and high volume experience
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
Highly proficient in using MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), WebEx (or similar platform)
and Internet
Strong technical, time management and organization skills
Required Licenses And/Or Certifications
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification or Fundamentals of Payroll Certification (FPC)
