The Experiences & Attractions Mgr role plays a crucial role in the development and implementation of new guest experiences and innovation projects for newbuilds and refurbished vessels. The role involves collaborating with various teams, vendors, and shipyards to ensure successful execution through the ship commissioning process.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage newbuild projects relating to Onboard Experiences and Attractions, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk management plans for new builds.
Lead and collaborated with cross-functional internal & external teams, Hotel operations, Marine & Technical operations, procurement, engineering, design consultants and construction teams.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
Develop and maintain project timelines/schedules, utilizing CPM methodologies to identify critical paths and establish key milestones for progress tracking.
Oversee the execution of experiences and attractions for new builds and refurbishments.
Stay current with competitor analysis and future trends within the industry.
Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Project Management, Hospitality or related fields
EXPERIENCE
5 minimum years of project management experience. Cruise industry or hospitality experience a plus.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
Highly self-motivated with strong project management skills and results-oriented.
Demonstrated success in gathering data, conducting analyses, and generating high-quality outputs.
Ability to translate requirements into quality solutions.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Requires the use of sound business judgment in coordinating projects.
Conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques are required.
Good in presentation, facilitation, and communication.
Technical knowledge and expertise are a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Monday.com.
Analytical, influencing, facilitating, teambuilding, strategic thinking, and process-driven skills.
Require up to 30% travel to shipboard and non-shipboard locations.
