Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Buyer to join our innovative team in San Diego, CA. If you have a knack for procurement and a passion for working in high-tech industries, this is the opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procure parts, materials, equipment, goods, and services.
  • Review and analyze quotations and proposals; conduct major procurement negotiations.
  • Identify, develop, and evaluate suppliers for reliability and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Compile and analyze data to determine feasibility and establish price objectives.
  • Prepare support documentation for procurements.
  • Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization in purchasing matters on assigned contracts/subcontracts.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related discipline, with 6+ years of progressive purchasing experience (or equivalent experience).
  • Federal buying experience is highly preferred; DOD experience is ideal.
  • Experience in electricity, chemicals, and electronics is desirable.
  • Foreign buying experience (EAR, ITAR) is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Knowledge of purchasing principles, FAR regulations, and SAP (especially transaction codes).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with purchase orders, BOM, labor hours, and blanket services.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
