Through its relationship with CUSO Financial Services, LP (CFS) University Federal Credit Union is seeking a Financial Advisor to join their team in the Galveston, League City, and Houston TX areas.
Job Summary Under direct supervision, the individual in this position is expected to provide members, non-members, and UFCU employees with financial and retirement planning services. The Associate Financial Advisor will provide investment advice by drawing upon a limited range of experience and knowledge, recommend appropriate financial solutions, and communicate information about risks, attributes, features, and benefits of investment products and services.

Essential Functions Drive activities that focus on continued member growth and growing their client base by:
Conducting seminars and workshops, as needed, on financial and retirement topics.
Prospecting for clients internally and externally through client referrals, networking and existing members.
Identifying opportunities to expand member relationships.
Consistently following up on leads elicited through growth generating activities.
Consistently provide personalized investment services by meeting with members, non-members, and employees in order to acquire a full understanding of their financial objectives.
Analyze financial information and develop a diversified investment strategy using a wide range of products to meet the members' goals.
Advise clients with investment relationships on asset allocation and portfolio construction. Follow up on a regular basis to ensure the members' needs are met.
Fully understand production expectations and consistently meet or exceed monthly sales quotas.
Seek appropriate guidance and coaching from Investment Advisors and Senior Investment advisors.
Utilizes communication skills and investment experience in order to quickly build rapport and trust with members and non-members.
Consistently act in a professional and ethical manner.
Build and maintain employee relationships by:
Conducting periodic branch trainings.
Attending UFCU sponsored employee events and participating in branch meetings on a regular basis.
Providing coaching, advice and general information about all Investment products and services.
Show a commitment to continued professional development by:
Keeping all licenses current
Participating in on-going learning and development activities
Work collaboratively with other team-members
Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Exceptional sales orientation and In-depth investment knowledge.
Strong oral presentation skills.
Reliable personal transportation and valid driver's license required - job involves frequent travel to varied locations throughout Galveston, League City and Houston metro area, and occasional travel to other cities.

Experience Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of three (3) years of related experience required.
FINRA Series 7, 66 or 63/65 combination licenses required.
Life and Health Insurance Licenses required.
Must be bondable.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
