Position Overview The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of a construction project, ensuring that it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong background in safety, mechanical piping, and project management, with experience in industrial, institutional, and/or HVAC construction.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage all construction activities on the project site
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines
Oversee and manage the mechanical piping and HVAC systems installation
Manage and track project progress, costs, and schedules
Monitor and maintain quality control throughout the construction process
Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
Communicate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project status
Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise on the project site
Ensure that the project is completed within budget and on schedule
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in industrial, institutional, or HVAC construction
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines
Experience with project management software and tools
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Knowledge of cost control and budget management
Experience with quality management processes
