Position: Controls Engineering Manager Position Overview The Controls Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of control systems for industrial machinery and equipment. This role will require strong technical skills and leadership abilities to manage a team of control engineers and ensure the successful completion of projects within established timelines and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a team of control engineers and provide technical guidance and support as needed
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop control system specifications and requirements
Design and develop control system architectures using CAD software
Troubleshoot PLC/HMI issues and develop solutions to improve system functionality
Program and integrate PLC/HMI systems using Sysmac Studio/CXOne, GX Developer/GX Works/GT Designer, KV Studio, and GP-Pro EX
Integrate industrial robots for spot welding, MIG welding, handling/packaging, and other applications
Work with popular industrial robot brands such as Fanuc, Yaskawa Motoman, OTC Daihen, Panasonic, and Omron
Develop and maintain safety protocols for control systems
Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure timely completion and cost-effectiveness
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, and implement new technologies to improve control systems
Provide training and support to team members and other departments as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in control engineering, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
Strong knowledge and experience with CAD software and PLC/HMI troubleshooting and programming
Experience with Sysmac Studio/CXOne, GX Developer/GX Works/GT Designer, KV Studio, and GP-Pro EX
Expertise in integrating and programming industrial robots from popular brands such as Fanuc, Yaskawa Motoman, OTC Daihen, Panasonic, and
