Job Title: Partner - Wage and Hour/PAGA ($215-300/yr DOE)
Job Location: Hybrid (1-2 days requirement) in Costa Mesa, Los Angeles, Westlake Village, San Diego, or San Francisco
Salary: $215-300/yr DOE
Billable hours are 1900 for associates and 1850 for Partners.
The Partner - will assist in the legal representation of the firms clients by providing legal advice, appearing in court, and drafting legal documents. The primary focus of the position is to counsel clients on wage and hour laws as well as the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). The attorney will also be responsible for researching and preparing legal documents for hearings, court appearances, and trial.
Key Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and assistance to clients on wage and hour laws, PAGA, and other related legal matters
Appear in court and draft legal documents, including complaints, briefs, and motions
Research and prepare legal documents for hearings, court appearances, and trial
Keep up to date on new developments in wage and hour laws, PAGA, and other relevant legal matters
Work collaboratively with other attorneys, staff, and clients to ensure legal matters are handled as efficiently as possible
Assist in the review and preparation of legal documents, such as contracts, pleadings and other legal documents, as needed
Qualifications
J.D. degree from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice law in California
5+ years of experience in wage & hour, PAGA, and related matters
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong research and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and legal procedures
