The key purpose of this position is to work collaboratively with Senior Leadership and program staff to achieve organization-wide objectives.
Essential Responsibilities:
Represent MUST Ministries in the most positive manner with clients, suppliers and the community we serve. Interact effectively with a diverse group of staff, and clients of our service, learns and uses operating practices of MUST Ministries.
Uphold the Mission Statement: Serving our neighbors in need ... transforming lives and communities in response to Christ's call.
Handle all information with tact and discretion and recognize the confidential nature of MUST Ministries.
In consultation with senior leadership, develops and recommends an annual strategy for maximizing resource development objectives, plans, and specific activities to be pursued in each area of responsibility within the context of the organization's strategic and operating plans.
Oversee development and work collaboratively with and in support of administration, programs, volunteers, and other staff to cultivate and solicit donors for organization-wide priorities.
Implement a resource development strategy that effectively markets the organization and educates the public in terms of issues and maximize the organization's resource development efforts.
Oversee and manage the resource development annual budget and forecast, including assumptions for resources and expenses.
Oversee the development and implementation of an annual, special events calendar that ensures the efforts, resources and the volunteer time are utilized in a manner that provides the greatest return to the organization. Ensure all events are planned to capture the attention of the intended audience and the media.
Support the President/CEO and Governance Committee.
Participate in all aspects of the gift cycle, including in-kind donations
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in Marketing or other related field
Minimum of seven years combined of donor and grant solicitation, marketing, and fundraising experience in an organization involving a significant number of people with diverse and varied interests and backgrounds.
Senior management experience with demonstrated success in teamwork and coaching others, leadership, and developing and implementing innovative concepts
Successful track record of growth in resource development, continually meeting or exceeding development goals.
Problem-solving, research and analytical skills.
Must be able to travel around the region.
Able to work under pressure of deadlines.
Physical and Work Requirements:
Work is mostly performed in an office environment; however offsite meetings and events are required.
May be required to lift up to 10 lbs.
Requires sitting, standing, sufficient mobility, and physical reflexes.
