Role Overview:
The Retail/Ecommerce Planner is responsible for the building and forecasting of financial plans, inventory analysis and allocation strategies that drive toward the overall company sales and margin objectives. This role is accountable for the financial planning, allocation, and inventory management of each product category in both our Retail and Ecommerce channels. This role partners closely with the Head of Ecommerce, VP of Stores, Buying and Merchandising and reports directly to the VP of Planning.
Responsibilities:
Develop, execute and communicate strategic financial plans and strategies that support the financial objectives of the Direct-to-Consumer channel
Create seasonal sales, inventory and margin plans by channel/store
Partner with the Head of Ecommerce, VP of Stores, Buying and Merchandising teams to develop planning and reporting structure that supports all KPI objectives
Work with VP of Planning to create open-to-buys for Retail and Ecommerce and partner with buying team to maintain and forecast
Manage weekly forecasting and reporting of all KPIs for each retail store and Ecommerce
Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities
Collaborate with buying and merchandising to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial goals and product opportunities
Work with buying team and allocation to ensure target levels of inventory are being upheld
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on shipping, re-orders and replenishment stock to drive inventory and capacity requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
4-5 years of relevant experience in Retail/Ecommerce Planning, Merchandise Planning or Allocation
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
Strong Analytical and Business acumen
Ability to develop strong working relationships with management and external resources
